Zai A. Sarkar B.Eng. M.B.A - C.E.O.
Zai A. Sarkar - C.E.O Zai Sarkar is the founder and principal shareholder of Universal Solutions Inc. Zai brings a rich mix of industry experience from a variety of projects he undertook in information systems and marketing in the energy, heavy industry, health, technology and tourism sectors. Starting in 1981 at SHL SystemHouse as Manager of Systems Implementation, Zai held positions as M.I.S Manager for the National Energy Corporation in Trinidad and Chief Technology Officer for the Canadian Tourism Commission where he developed the first Extranet for promoting Canadian tourism. With assistance from the National Research Council of Canada, Zai headed early exploration for business systems for the Internet. In 1995 he pioneered the development of systems to deploy database technology to the Internet. He also lectured in information systems in the Management Studies Department of the University of the West Indies.

Zai is a graduate of McGill University in electrical engineering and holds an M.B.A from Concordia University. He is also trained in Advanced Project Management, Strategic Planning and Security Systems.

In addition to his responsibilities for leading the iBolz team, Zai is involved in many local community projects.

 
Sohail Rashid B.Eng., M.B.A. - Exec. V.P. Marketing and Sales
Sohail Rashid B.Eng., M.B.A. - V.P. Business Development Sohail Rashid is a veteran of the software and hardware industry, with more than 20 years of experience in international business development of wireless systems. His tenure in the industry started at Gandalf in 1981 where he held various executive positions in engineering and sales. He also held the position of executive vice president at Mobile Knowledge (formerly SiGEM) where he led the mobile division, initiated the acquisition of a major UK competitor and sold the world's largest transport system (in excess of $30 million) to Singapore.

As a well-established player in international markets, Sohail has appointed resellers and has directly sold multi-million dollar transport systems in North America, Europe, Middle East, Far East and Australia. Mr. Rashid holds an MBA from Queens University and has done his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at Concordia University and Computer Engineering at St. Lawrence College.

Prior to joining iBolz, Sohail spent a year in Dubai as the executive vice president of Dubai Technologies, a company he restructured and turned into a world class organization by establishing sales presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, India, UK and France.

 
Stephen Fanjoy, B.Comm Honors, CMC - Business Development Advisor
Stephen Fanjoy - Exec. V.P. Marketing and Sales Stephen Fanjoy is a Director at Welch Consulting Group. An entrepreneurial, results-focused consultant with practical and creative problem solving skills, Stephen excels at strategic, integrative thinking that divines opportunity from highly complex and uncertain environments.

Prior to joining Welch, Stephen held management and executive positions in sales, marketing, business development and product management in leading global companies including Procter & Gamble, SHL Systemhouse, Oracle, and Watchfire. As a consultant he has been a business advisor to many organizations, spanning from owner-operated businesses and high technology start-ups to governments and Fortune 100 corporations.

Stephen primarily consults in the area of business strategy, including market and competitor research and analysis, product strategy, capitalization strategy, business planning and engineering high-valuation exits. He works extensively with owner-operated businesses and high technology startups.

Stephen is a member of the board of CMC-Ontario and chair of its Ottawa chapter as well as chair of the Ottawa eBusiness Cluster and serves on OCRI's Ottawa Global Marketing Advisory Council. Stephen has been a keynote speaker, panelist and presented papers at numerous technology industry conferences as well as lectured on entrepreneurship, marketing, and high technology business strategy at Dalhousie University, the Technical University of Nova Scotia (now part of Dalhousie) and Acadia University.

Stephen is an honours graduate of the Dalhousie University School of Business and a certified management consultant (CMC).
